Living By Faith

A POKE THROUGH JELL-O

The Lord will give strength unto his people. (Psalm 29:11)

“The spirit of faith will make a tadpole slap a whale!” – Mark Hankins

On October 14, 1947, Chuck Yeager was the first man to fly 700 miles an hour and break the sound barrier. It was difficult to find a man willing to risk the unknown of supersonic flight. Chuck Yeager was a pioneer and became an American hero — He broke the sound barrier that everyone else had been afraid of.

Yeager said, “The real barrier wasn’t in the sky, but in our knowledge and experience of supersonic flight.” He described the supersonic flight as “sipping lemonade on the front porch” and “a poke through Jell-O.”

What barriers do you face as a Christian doing the will of God? What kind of adjustments must be made to break those barriers?  Your own thinking, attitudes, and discipline must be changed in order to break the barriers. The Lord gives strength to His people. The power of God makes the greatest challenges “a poke through Jell-O.” When the barriers are broken, you will experience victory in every area of life!

Confession: The Lord has given me strength to break through any barriers I might face. I am strong in the Lord and in the power of His might! (Ephesians 6:10)

God timed word ! Thank you for following the Holy Ghost !

  2. Dear brother Mark, The image of a tad pole slapping a whale has had me laughing for days. That is exactly what faith does to us little tad poles. I don’t think I will be looking for whale for long. Thank-you for following Jesus with such passion and love. It blesses many and continues to encourage faith in our mighty and faithful GOD.
