MADE READY IN CHRIST

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. (Colossians 1:12)

The word “meet” in the King James Version just simply means that God has qualified us, enabled us, made us worthy, or made us ready. In other words, you do not have to sing in the choir for 38 years to be ready.  The moment you are washed in the blood of Jesus — the moment you climb in Christ by faith and receive Him as your Lord and Savior — you are qualified for your inheritance. Colossians1:12 says, “Giving thanks unto the Father….”  Sometimes you need to say, “O, Father, I give You thanks that You have qualified me. You have enabled me and made me worthy.”

There is a time when we bow down before God in reverence and worship, but that is not being unworthy. When we come into the presence of God by the blood of Jesus and bow down, there are times when God will say, “Stand up with boldness and declare that you are who I say you are.” It gives Him honor when you believe Him.

Confession: I have been made worthy through the blood of Jesus Christ. With boldness I recognize that I am qualified for my inheritance!
