Living By Faith

THE LANGUAGE OF REDEMPTION

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach. (Romans 10:8)

The Gospel of Christ is a language of power; it is the power of God working in this world. Mark Hankins

Speaking the language of redemption will cause a radical change in your thinking and in your seeing. When you speak like God speaks, you will overthrow and overturn anything the devil has done in your life. We must boldly say, “I am who God says I am. I have what God says I have. I can do what God says I can do!”  The Gospel of Christ is a language of power, love, faith, victory, and blessing.

Instead of being controlled by the influences of the world, the flesh, and the devil, speaking the perfect language, will cause a revolution — a radical change — in your life.  Instead of seeing yourself as a failure, you begin to speak God’s Word. You speak that you are an overcomer and that you have been seated with Christ in heavenly places. You are a winner in Christ!

Confession: I am God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which He prepared before hand that I should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)

THE LANGUAGE OF FAITH

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. (Mark 11:23)

Many people would like to see different scenery in their lives. God says to make a different sound first. Mark Hankins

God wants us to learn the language of faith. Language includes understanding and speaking. God communicates to us through His Word. He wants us to see the same thing He sees and say the same thing He says. The spirit of wisdom and revelation and the spirit of faith work together for the will of God to be accomplished in us and through us.

In other words, it does not matter what the devil has done in your life. Through the cross of Jesus Christ, there is another language God wants to teach you — the language of redemption, restoration, and freedom. If you can dare to speak this new language, He will restore your dominion.

Confession: Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. I know I have eternal life. I am a child of God because of what Jesus has done. I have joy. I know the hope of His calling. I know I have an inheritance in Christ. Jesus has given me authority over the devil!

SHOW ME THE GLORY

O God, thou art my God; early willI seek thee… To see they power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. (Psalm 63:1-2)

The Holy Spirit will reveal to you every conceivable good that God has for you! Mark Hankins

God wants to reveal Himself to us; He is just waiting for us to ask Him to do so.  Moses asked God in Exodus 33, “Show me Your glory.” God revealed Hisglory, the revelation of His name, and His goodness to Moses. David also asked God to reveal His power and glory in Psalm63

The glory refers to God’s manifested presence. The Hebrew word for gloryis chabod. Chabod means wealth, numbers, commerce, power, wisdom, promotion, superiority, dignity, authority, nobility, splendor, valor, magnificence, extraordinary privileges, and advantages. One of the meanings of chabod or glory is loaded or heavy with every conceivable good!

When we finally get the revelation of our place in Christ, we can be confident of what will happen next; the glory—the unlimited goodness of God– comes!

Confession: I am confident that as the Holy Spirit shows me the reality of my redemption, He will reveal every conceivable good that God has for me! Holy Spirit, show me your glory!

CRY OUT FOR WISDOM

Yea if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding… Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2:3,5)

Let the Holy Spirit paint a picture in your heart of you and Jesus seated together at the right hand of God in heavenly places. Mark Hankins

Let your spirit cry out for the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Stick with it until you truly see what God has done for you in Christ and you understand who you are and what you have in Him. Set your mind on the reality of your redemption.

Let the Holy Spirit paint a picture in your heart of you and Jesus seated together at the right hand of God in heavenly places. Then look down and say, “Devil, you are way down there, and I’m seated far above you with Jesus! God gave me the very life of Christ Himself –theGod- kind of life and victory. He gave me Heaven’s joy, Heaven’s love, and Heaven’s life. I’m blessed right now with every spiritual blessing, and you are under my feet!”

Confession: Holy Spirit I cry out for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. The Spirit of God is in me and on me right now. I have been born of God and I am seated with Christ in heavenly places! (Ephesians 2:6)

SEATED FAR ABOVE WITH THE MOST HIGH

The eyes of your understanding enlightened still more and more… (Ephesians 1:18 Doddridge Translation)

When you see things from God’s perspective, life will be different for you! Mark Hankins

I prayed the Ephesians 1 prayer without fail day after day. For a long time, it seemed like I didn’t get anything for my efforts but a dry mouth! I never smoked marijuana and I never took LSD, but the night revelation hit me I got higher than a kite! I saw myself sitting together with Jesus in the presence of God the Father far above all principality, power, might, dominion, and every name that is named. The fact that God had put everything under Jesus’ feet, and then raised me up together with Him became so real to me!

I had been a slow learner, but revelation finally came. When revelation came, my perspective changed. I wasn’t trying to be victorious; I was victorious because of what God did for me in Christ. The spirit of wisdom and revelation changed my perspective. Instead of trying to get the victory, I realized I already had the victory in Christ!

Confession: I am victorious because of what God did for me in Christ!  “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”  (1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV)
