FREEDOM FROM GUILT AND SIN CONSCIOUSNESS

Now thanks be unto God, which always cause thus to triumph in Christ and maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place. (2 Corinthians 2:14)

God is your heavenly Father, and He is glorified when you reflect His life, joy, and victory! Mark Hankins

God does not want His children to live with a continual consciousness of sin, failure, defeat, weakness, guilt, and inferiority. As a father of two children, I know I don’t want my children to live that way.  This does not mean that you won’t have challenges. You live in a world that is full of adversity, but you are overcomers because you are born of God. (1 John 5:4) Instead of a sense of sin or guilt, you should have a sense of righteousness and triumph.

The Apostle Paul was shipwrecked, snake-bit, beaten in the head, and left for dead, yet he came out saying, “I am more than a conqueror in Christ.” (Romans 8:37) He came out smelling like a rose with victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil. Paul saw himself in Christ.

God wants you to smell like the triumph of Christ.  This means you have to live in the consciousness and with the confession of who you are in Christ.

Confession: I am more than a conqueror in Christ. I have victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil!

A RIGHTEOUS NEW CREATURE

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. (Romans 3:23-24)

You can never get any more righteous than the moment you are born again and washed in the blood of Jesus! Mark Hankins

Righteousness is yours through faith in the precious blood of Jesus. God has not only forgiven the sinner, but He has made him His very own righteousness. He has not only forgiven the one who believes in Jesus, but He has forgotten that he has ever done anything wrong. (Isaiah 43:25-26) You are not only forgiven, but you have been recreated with God’s own righteousness imparted to you. We have been recreated in righteousness.

Jesus has given you His standing with the Father God. Jesus has let you share His place with God. Your place of righteousness is in Christ. In Him you are free from the power, control, and effects of sin. In Him you have confidence in the presence of God. In Christ and by faith in His blood, you have boldness not only before God, but also before your adversary, the devil, who comes to accuse you. You are a righteous new creature!

Confession: In Christ I am free from guilt and shame! In Him I am free from inferiority and unworthiness!

YOU ARE REDEEMED

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree. (Galatians 3:13)

It is an insult to God for you to stay in prison when Jesus paid the price for your release! Mark Hankins

There are three simple, yet powerful statements made in Galatians 3:13. Let’s take a closer look.  The first is the fact that you are redeemed. The second is what you are redeemed from — the curse of the law.  The third is what you were redeemed by — Christ was made a curse for you. Christ took your curse so you could go free.

The center of the Gospel is what God has done for you in Christ. The curse of the law has been broken, not for just a few select individuals, but for whosoever” will hear and believe in the Gospel.

Jesus paid much too high a price for your freedom for you to stay bound. It is an insult to God for you to stay in prison when Jesus paid the price for your release.  Satan cannot hold you. Sin cannot hold you. The past cannot hold you. Remember our first fact: YOU ARE REDEEMED!

Confession: Christ hath redeemed me now–not just when I go to heaven. Satan can not hold me. Sin cannot hold me. My past can not hold me! The curse of the law is broken in my life. I am redeemed!

THE SECRET PLACE

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:5-6)

Moses was getting in on God’s plan of redemption— man belongs at the right hand of God—meaning in His presence. Mark Hankins

When I was nineteen I went to my daddy’s church one day and began to pray. After praying in the Holy Ghost for two and a half hours, the Spirit of God fell on me. God spoke to me, “There is a place for you by Me. I want to show you your place.” The Lord took me up into the heavenly places in a vision. I saw a big rock. God said, “This is your place–right by Me! I have had your place by Me reserved for you even before you were born. I prepared it ahead of time. There is deliverance, healing, prosperity, victory, and blessing in that place.”  In His presence I experienced joy and victory like I had never known.

I didn’t know about Exodus 33 until several years later. God had spoken to me exactly what He spoke to Moses: “There is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock.” (Exodus 33:21)

Confession: God has a place reserved for me in Him. God has raised me up in Christ Jesus to be together with Him in heavenly places.

FINDING YOUR PLACE IN THE ROCK

And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock. And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen. (Exodus 33:20-23)

There is a place by the Father, and that place is in Christ Jesus. Mark Hankins

God told Moses, “There is a place by Me for you.” Moses was getting in on the secret of God’s plan of redemption — that man belongs at the right hand of God, meaning in His presence. Moses was getting in on the secret of the power and authority of God. God told Moses, “You are going to stand upon a rock.”  Jesus is that rock!

Moses wasn’t just going to stand on the rock. God put him in the cleft of the rock, which means, “I’m going to carve out a niche in this rock and put you inside of the rock. Now you can see my glory and my goodness and understand who I AM.”

Confession: There is a place by the Father for me and that place is in Christ Jesus. I am in Christ!
