Living By Faith

DARE TO DECLARE THAT YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS IN CHRIST

Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. (Romans 8:33-34)

“Faith will not work in an atmosphere of unforgiveness.” -Kenneth E. Hagin

I once heard Dad Hagin say,“If the devil can get you in condemnation, he’ll cheat you out of your inheritance.”  When we receive forgiveness and freely forgive others, and ourselves, our faith will work properly. God forgives us so radically and totally, that He commands us to forgive others the same way.  God’s kind of forgiveness erases the memory of all sin, failure, guilt, and accusation. We plead our case with the Word of God and the blood of Jesus.

In 2 Corinthians 5:21, God declares us righteous in Christ. Righteousness is a free gift and those that receive it will reign in life through Christ Jesus. This revelation of righteousness makes us glad. These are days of Heaven on Earth, so go ahead and laugh at the devil.

Confession: I have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I receive this free gift and reign in life through Christ Jesus! (2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 5:17)

GENETIC CONNECTION

Lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities…Behold your God! (Isaiah 40:9)

“When you speak, there is an identical voice of faith. It sounds like the voice of God.” – Mark Hankins

A number of years ago I called my brother’s church. The secretary mistook my voice for his voice because we’re brothers and there is a genetic similarity. She immediately said, “Pastor Mike”  When she said that, I thought I would take advantage of the situation and said, “You know, I really love my brother Mark a lot and would like to express my appreciation to him in a more tangible way. I want you to send my brother Mark a check for $10,000.”  The secretary got real quiet on the other end of the phone because she thought I was Mike. Then I said, “I’m just kidding, this is Mark.”

I realized my voice, because of the genetic connection, gave me access to his checking account. That’s why God says, “Lift up your voice and speak.” There is a genetic connection between you and Jesus Christ. There is authority, healing, deliverance, victory, and blessing in your voice.

Confession: I lift up my voice in faith and victory! Mountains have to move! I have authority, healing, deliverance, victory, and blessing in my voice!

SPEAKING OF HIS GLORY

In his temple doth everyone speak of his glory. (Psalm 29:9)

“Whenever we say, ‘Glory,’ we are including all of the goodness of God!” Mark Hankins

  • God is called the “God of Glory” in Acts 7:2.
  • Ephesians1:17 calls God the “Father of Glory.”
  • He is the “King of Glory” in Psalm 24:7-10.
  • Jesus is the “Lord of Glory” in 1 Corinthians 2:8.
  • Hebrews 2:10 tells us that Jesus died to bring “many sons into glory.”
  • I Peter 4:14 says, “The Spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you.”
  • In 1 Corinthians 2:7, the Apostle Paul says of his revelation, “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden widsom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.”
  • John 17:22-24 describes Jesus as the Lord of Glory and says that He came that we might enjoy the same glory

One commentary I read defined the glory this way: wealth, numbers, commerce, power, wisdom, promotion, superiority, dignity, authority, nobility, splendor, valor, magnificence, extraordinary privileges, and advantages. Whenever we say “GLORY,” we are including all the goodness of God. We speak of His glory and carry His glory!

Confession: Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world! (1John 4:4)

CRANK THE CHAINSAW

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you. (Acts1:8)

“The Holy Spirit is a genius. If you will listen to Him, He will make you look smart!” -B.B. Hankins

There is a funny story about a country boy who cut trees for a living. He heard of a new piece of equipment that was supposed to make work a lot easier and faster called a chainsaw. He bought one from the store because the man said he could cut up to 30 trees a day with this new chainsaw. After using it for a few days, he took it back to the store and complained that he was only able to cut 2 or 3 trees a day.  The store manager took the chainsaw from him and pulled the starter rope. With a loud noise, the chainsaw started. That country boy jumped back, startled by the noise, and said, “What’s that?” Being as ignorant as he was, he had never cranked the engine!

Many people struggle in the work of the Lord because they have never been filled with the Holy Spirit. He is the power that enables us in every area of life. We must give the Holy Spirit His proper place everyday.

Confession: Greater is He that is in me than he that is in this world.(1John4:4) I choose to give the Holy Spirit His proper place everyday. Thank God for the Holy Spirit!

BLESSED IN CHRIST

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. (Ephesians 1:3)

“Every blessing that heaven itself enjoys is ours right now.” -Mark Hankins

We are blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ. We are seated in heavenly places. We are blessed with the same blessings Jesus has right now in the presence of God. We have the blessing of the Lord upon our lives.

Everywhere you go, the triumph and the smell of victory on you is greater than whatever is around you. The triumph of Christ in you and the smell of that triumph comes out of you and has an effect on the atmosphere wherever you go.

We do not have to wait until we get to heaven in order to enjoy the blessings that heaven itself enjoys. We are already blessed with the same life, righteousness, joy, peace, and love. We can climb up in that rock of who we are in Christ and get up there in the glory of heaven!

Confession:Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. (2 Corinthians 2:14)
