GLORY! GOD IS ALL GOOD

For how great is his goodness. (Zechariah 9:17)

The length, depth, breadth, and height of God’s goodness overwhelmed Moses. He had an experience with the Glory of God! Mark Hankins

Can you imagine what it would be like to have God’s entire goodness pass before you? That is exactly what happened to Moses — God revealed His goodness to him. The length, depth, breadth, and height of God’s goodness overwhelmed Moses; he had an experience with the glory of God. The glory of God so changed Moses’ whole countenance that his face radiated. His face was shining! The glory of God touches and affects every aspect of your life.

I like David Baron’s commentary on Zechariah 9:17: “Goodness is that attribute of God whereby He loveth to communicate to all who can or will receive it, ALL GOOD–yea Himself, who is the fullness and universality of good, creator of all good, not in one way, not in one kind of goodness only, but absolutely, without beginning, with- out limit, without measure. This good, His goodness bestoweth on all and each, according to the capacity of each to receive it; nor is there any limit to His giving, save His creature’s capacity of receiving.”

Confession:The glory of God is the goodness of God. The goodness of God is changing my life! God is a good God!

ACT LIKE THE BIBLE IS TRUE

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:23-24)

The power of the blood of Jesus washes away all of the guilty stains and we can stand in God’s presence confidently. Mark Hankins

You can know that the Bible says these things about you, but they may not seem real to you. You have a part to play. You did not make the new man; God did that. You   must put on the new man. One translation says, “put on the new person that you are.” This new man is created in righteousness and true holiness. God would not make an unrighteous new creature. You have been made the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

God sees you through the blood of Jesus. He looks at you as though you never did anything wrong.  We can face life confidently. We can pray confidently. In Christ we have right standing with God. It is not only right standing with God; it is the identical standing with the Father that Jesus has. Dare to see yourself this way!

Confession: In Christ I am delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of the Son of God. In Christ I have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

SUPERNATURAL PROMOTION

Clothe (apron) yourselves, all of you, with humility — as the garb of a servant, so that its covering cannot possibly be stripped from you, with freedom from pride and arrogance –toward one another. For God sets Himself against the proud — the insolent, the overbearing, the disdainful, the presumptuous, the boastful, and opposes, frustrates and defeats them –but gives grace to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves (demote, lower your-selves in your own estimation) under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you. (1 Peter 5:5-6 Amplified)

If God takes you up, no one can take you down!

Mark Hankins

We are to honor people who have had an impact upon us spiritually. Even though they may not be perfect, as we honor them we will have the blessing of God in our lives.

We honor these men and women of God by serving them and by giving to them financially. There is a due time when God will exalt you. When He takes you up, no one can bring you down. If someone else promotes you, you can lose it all. If God takes you up, no one can take you down!

Confession: I humble myself (demote and lower myself in my own estimation) under the mighty hand of God, and in due time, He will exalt me!

HUMBLE YOURSELF

Likewise you that are younger and of lesser rank be subject to the elders the ministers and spiritual guides of the church, giving them due respect and yielding to their counsel. Clothe (apron) yourselves, all of you, with humility.

(1 Peter 5:5 Amplified)

You need to humble yourself in three ways: to those over you, to those around you, and to those under you. Mark Hankins

First, humble yourself to those who are over you in the Lord. Your pastor is over you as a spiritual father. The Bible talks about double honor for the man or woman of God who has given you spiritual things.

Second, humble yourself to those around you. If you do not humble yourself to those around you, you will never have a proper, lasting relationship with them.

Third, humble yourself to those under you. Be nice to those on your way up, or you may meet them on your way down.

The Lord once told me, “This is one of the keys to your prosperity. It is a greater key than giving to the poor or needy. You have to honor those who are over you in the Lord. When you do that, I will bring their honor on you.”

Confession: I humble myself today by giving honor to whom honor is due. I am blessed as I honor those over me, those around me and those under me!

GET DRESSED UP IN CHRIST

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man… which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts. And be renewed in the spirit of your mind… And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:22-24)

When you get dressed, there is a process you go through. It takes a little time, but it is worth it! Mark Hankins

Do you want your faith to become effective?  The Apostle Paul said in Philemon 6 that the communication of your faith may become effectual or effective by the “acknowledging of every good thing.” It is a continual process to acknowledge every good thing that is in you in Christ Jesus. Your faith will become effective as you continue to acknowledge, think, meditate, declare, and act as if the Bible is true.  This process is called “putting on the new man” in Colossians 3:9-10 and Ephesians 4:23-24.

We are talking about putting on some new clothes. You are renewed in knowledge after the image of Him who created you. God likes to dress people up, and He will tell you how to get dressed up. Put on some new clothes with your identification with Christ and who you are in Christ.

Confession: I am who God says I am! I have what God says I have! I can do what God says I can do!
