Living By Faith

REVELATION KNOWLEDGE

Christ took me to the cross with Him, and I died there with Him.
(Galatians 2:20 Laubach)

Christianity does not begin with something you do; it begins with something
God has done for you in Christ.
Mark Hankins

Theologians ask, “How could Paul say he was crucified with Christ when Paul was not even in Jerusalem when Jesus was crucified?” Some believe Paul is talking about a spiritual state he has somehow attained after thirty years of serving God. When you think this way, somehow you are trying to be identified with Christ. This way of thinking places you right back in Jerusalem at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher where there is neither life nor glory.

When Paul said, “I died there with Him,” he was saying “Through revelation knowledge I know when Jesus died, I died. When He was made alive, I was made alive. When He was raised, I was raised with Him. When He sat down, I sat down with Him. God saw me there. Everything Jesus did, He did it for me.”

When you get in the Spirit, instead of seeing your death, shame, guilt, sorrow, sickness, and poverty, you can see your condition in Christ and the fact that you were crucified with Him.

Confession: The mystery of the Gospel and the glory of the Gospel is Christ in me! (Colossians 1:26-27)

REPETITION AND THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
(Romans 10:17)

Never underestimate the importance of repetition when it comes to the spirit of wisdom and revelation.
Mark Hankins

Did you ever wonder why Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing and hearing? Because it doesn’t always come when you hear the Word once — it comes by hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing.

Revelation requires repetition, over and over again. Think about Paul’s letters and how much repetition is in those letters — almost identical repetition. God chose to include all of Paul’s letters in Scripture because if you don’t get it from Ephesians, you can get it from Galatians, Colossians, or Corinthians.

The spirit of wisdom comes by repetition. That’s why Dad Hagin said to pray the prayer in Ephesians 1 every day for six months. Every day — pray, pray, pray; water, water, water. If you stick with it, the watering process will bring increase in the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

Confession: It is God who works in me both to will and to do of His good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13)

A WALK IN THE CEMETERY

Ask the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, to give you the Spirit, who will make you wise and reveal God to you, so that you will know Him.
(Ephesians 1:17 Good News Bible)

The language of faith or redemption gives us access to the supernatural.
Mark Hankins

I remember walking through a large cemetery with my dad when I was a little boy. I particularly noticed the word “veteran” on many of the markers. I even commented to my dad about the large number of “veterans” in the cemetery. My dad just responded, “Yes, there sure are a lot of veterans in this cemetery.” My dad did not realize that I thought a veteran was a veterinarian. We were saying the same word but with two totally different pictures. My dad saw someone who served in the military, but I saw an animal doctor. As a child, I wondered why so many “veterans” had died at the same time — maybe they had all been bitten and got rabies.

Even though my dad and I were saying the same thing, we definitely were not seeing the same thing. We must understand the language of redemption and effectively speak it. The Gospel of Christ is a language of power; it is the power of God working in this world.

Confession: The revelation of God is causing things to turn around for me right now! “O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee forever.” (Psalm 30:12)

HOLY SPIRIT “TRANSMISSION”

I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
(Matthew 11:25)

The Holy Spirit can reveal and transmit our new identity to us through the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Mark Hankins

The devil will try to out bluff us and make us fold, quit, and give up when there is really a tremendous reward on the table. We must understand our identification with Christ and who we are in Christ and realize that we are holding the better hand. God gave us the cards and we win! The moment you get the spirit of wisdom and revelation — Boom! You can tell the devil, “You can’t whip me!”

You cannot understand what God has done for you in Christ without the help of the Holy Spirit, without the spirit of wisdom and revelation. David Yonngi Cho said that the Holy Spirit doesn’t talk to smart people. In other words, if you already think you know everything, the Holy Spirit will not reveal anything to you. If you want the Holy Spirit to help you, you will have to become like a child.

Confession: Thank you Holy Spirit for giving me the spirit of wisdom and revelation. I realize that I do not have all the answers. The Greater One living in me will reveal all truths!

CRY OUT FOR WISDOM

Yea if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding…Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2:3,5)

Let the Holy Spirit paint a picture in your heart of you and Jesus seated together at the right hand of God in heavenly places. – Mark Hankins

Let your spirit cry out for the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Stick with it until you truly see what God has done for you in Christ and you understand who you are and what you have in Him. Set your mind on the reality of your redemption.

Let the Holy Spirit paint a picture in your heart of you and Jesus seated together at the right hand of God in heavenly places. Then look down and say, “Devil, you are way down there, and I’m seated far above you with Jesus! God gave me the very life of Christ Himself — the God- kind of life and victory. He gave me Heaven’s joy, Heaven’s love, and Heaven’s life. I’m blessed right now with every spiritual blessing, and you are under my feet!”

Confession: Holy Spirit I cry out for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. The Spirit of God is in me and on me right now. I have been born of God and I am seated with Christ in heavenly places!
(Ephesians 2:6)
