Living By Faith

THE WELCOMING WORD TO GOD

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach. (Romans 10:8)

The vocabulary of salvation releases the power of God! Mark Hankins

I really like the way the Message Bible reads in Romans 10:8-10: “This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word to God – ‘Jesus is my Master’ – embracing body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what He did in raising Jesus from the dead.” I especially like the phrase, “Say the welcoming word to God.” Acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ and all He has done for you. Dare to open the door to the supernatural by believing and speaking. God wants to work for you; He just needs you to open the door. Say it out loud. Hold fast to your confession of faith.  Win the war of words. God has given us all the ammunition we need!

Confession: I believe in my heart that God the Father raised Jesus from the dead, and I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. I have been born again. God is my very own Father, and I am His very own child. I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. Old things are passed away; behold, all things are new. Jesus is my Master! (Romans 10:9-10; 8:14-15, 2 Corinthians 5:17)

YOU HAVE BEEN FRAMED

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (Heb 11:3)

Your success and usefulness in this world will be measured by your confession and your tenacity to hold fast to that confession. F.F. Bosworth

Everything we see was framed with an unseen substance called faith. Faith comes from the spoken Word of God; our words create our world. There is so much power in our words that the devil has tried to derail it. He has gotten into people’s lives and presented a false picture that is not part of God’s plan.

Prison inmates have been known to say, “I have been framed.” They are blaming someone else for their predicament, but they don’t realize how true those words really are. The truth is, everyone has been framed.  Our words and the words of others have framed our world.

As we speak the Word of God, it tears down, roots out, builds, and plants. (Jeremiah 1:4-12) God wants us to speak His words and frame the picture He has for us. He has a custom plan for each of us in Christ Jesus.

Confession: For I am his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that I should walk in them.(Ephesians 2:10)

BY YOUR WORDS

For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile. (I Peter 3:10)

Change your words and change your world! Mark Hankins

Your words will make you or break you. Your words determine the boundaries of your life. The speech center is the dominion center of your being. Your tongue will determine the direction, destination, and quality of your life!

(James 3, 1 Peter 3:10)

When you go to a doctor, the first thing he does is look at your tongue. When you go to God with a problem, the first thing He says is, “Say Ahh! I see the problem. It’s written all over your tongue!”

James 3:2-5 in the Message Bible tells us how important our words are: “If you could find someone whose speech was perfectly true, you’d have a perfect person, in perfect control of life. A bit in the mouth of a horse controls the whole horse. A small rudder on a huge ship in the hands of a skilled captain sets course in the face of the strongest wind. A word out of your mouth may seem of no account, but it can accomplish nearly everything -or destroy it!”

Confession: I will refrain my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking guile. I will love life and see good days! (1 Peter 3:10)

THE SPEECH CENTER EXERCISES DOMINION

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. (Matthew 12:37)

The speech center is the dominion center for our lives. Mark Hankins

A leading neurosurgeon said that researchers have recently discovered that the speech center in the brain exercises dominion over the whole central nervous system. He said that certain parts of the human brain are able to cause different parts of the body to respond to stimuli. The speech center has even greater influence; when the speech center is stimulated, the whole central nervous system responds.

This means that when anyone says, “I am weak,” the speech center sends out the message to the whole body to prepare to be weak. This must be the reason God said, “Let the weak say, I am strong.” (Joel 3:10)

The Message Bible tells us in Matthew 12:37, “Words are powerful; take them seriously. Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation.”

This may be a new discovery to medical science, but the Bible has revealed this fact for thousands of years. Medical science is finally finding out what the Bible has been saying all along!

Confession:I am strong. I am blessed. God’s Word in my mouth gives me life and salvation!

PRISONERS OF WORDS

Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. (Proverbs 6:2)

If you’re not happy with what you have in life, check out what you’ve been saying. Kenneth E. Hagin

Many people are prisoners of their words; what they say is holding them hostage. Proverbs6:2 in the Jerusalem Bible says, “…through words of yours you have been entrapped.”  The Basic English version says, “…the sayings of your lips have overcome you.”

James 3 tells us that your tongue will determine the direction and destiny of your life. You are a believer in the Word of God. You must speak what you believe for victory to be yours.

The confession of your lips that grows out of faith in your heart will absolutely defeat the adversary in every combat. When you hold fast to your confession of faith and allow those words to register in your spirit, Satan cannot win!

Confession:“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”  (Proverbs 18:21) I will not be held captive by my words any longer. I will speak the Word of God concerning every circumstance and situation in my life. I am a believer in God’s Word. I have the victory!
