YOUR PLACE IN CHRIST

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. (Psalm 32:7)

Take your place in Christ and get ready for a front-row seat for the

 glory of God!

Mark Hankins

When Saul met Jesus on the road to Damascus, the first thing he said to Jesus was, “Who are thou, Lord?” (Acts 9:5) The second thing he said to Jesus was, “Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” (v. 6) Saul, who became Paul, then spent the rest of his life finding out who Jesus was and doing what Jesus wanted him to do.  Paul coined a phrase that is the signature of his letters: “in Christ.”

The Apostle Paul used the phrase in Christ, in Him, and in Whom over one hundred-thirty times. God sees you in Christ, but you must see yourself in Him. You are a new creature in Christ. In Him you are righteous now, blessed now, healed now, free now, forgiven now, and victorious now!

Take your place in Christ and get ready for a front-row seat for the glory of God!  Experiencing the glory and goodness of God is not just for a select few believers.  God has a reserved seat for you with your name on it!

Confession: I am taking my place in Christ!  In Him I am the righteousness of God. In Him I am triumphant! In Him, I am blessed. In Him I am redeemed.  In Him, I have a heritage an identity and an inheritance!

THE SECRET PLACE

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:5-6)

Moses was getting in on God’s plan of redemption— man belongs at the right hand of God—meaning in His presence.

Mark Hankins

When I was nineteen I went to my daddy’s church one day and began to pray. After praying in the Holy Ghost for two and a half hours, the Spirit of God fell on me. God spoke to me, “There is a place for you by Me. I want to show you your place. The Lord took me up into the heavenly places in a vision. I saw a big rock. God said, “This is your place right by Me!  I have had your place by Me reserved for you even before you were born. I prepared it ahead of time. There is deliverance, healing, prosperity, victory, and blessing in that place.  In His presence I experienced joy and victory like I had never known.

I didn’t know about Exodus 33 until several years later. God had spoken to me exactly what He spoke to Moses: “There is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock.(Exodus 33:21)

Confession: God has a place reserved for me in Him. God has raised me up in Christ Jesus to be together with Him in heavenly places.

A MAN IN CHRIST IS A NEW CREATURE

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (John 5:11-12)

A man in Christ is a new kind of man—a new breed or species that

 never existed before!

Mark Hankins

The Greek word translated “new” means “unheard of before.” It means new in quality or kind. A man in Christ is a new kind of man, a new breed, or species that never existed before. You are not just a forgiven sinner; you are a new creation with a new kind of life. A man in Christ is a partaker of the life and nature of God.

James Stewart put it this way, “This life which flows from God into man is something totally different from anything experienced on the natural plane. It is supernatural life. It makes man a new creation. It is not the intensification of powers already possessed, but the sudden emergence of an entirely new and original element.”

Confession: God has given me eternal life. I am not just a forgiven sinner, but a new creation with a new kind of life!

ACKNOWLEDGING EVERY GOOD THING IN CHRIST

My prayer is that your fellowship with us in our common faith may deepen the understanding of all the blessings that our union with Christ brings us.

(Philemon 6  New English Bible)

We cannot do anything without Him, but in Him, we can do anything!

Mark Hankins

What you are acknowledging must center around four main areas:

1.  What God has done for you in Christ Jesus in the plan of

    redemption.

              2. Who you are now and what you have now in Christ.

 3.  What God can do through you by the Word and the Holy

    Spirit.

4.  What Jesus is doing for you now at the right hand of God.

Confession: I am putting off the old man, and I am putting on the new man with new clothes and new righteousness. In Him, I am redeemed. In Him, I am holy. In Him, I am strong. In Him, I am righteous now. The anointing is in me. I am putting on the new man with new behavior. I am walking in Christ. I live in Christ. I make no provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts. I put on the Lord Jesus Christ!

ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ…wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (Ephesians 1:3,6)

You must take your place in Christ and hold yourself there!

Mark Hankins

You have been accepted in the beloved, so you do not need to live with a sense of rejection all the time, feeling like you do not quite measure up. You have been accepted in the beloved, and you are in Christ. God accepts you, and He loves you.

All the promises of God in Him are yes and amen to the glory of God by us! What God has done in your life will bring glory to God. Put on the Lord Jesus Christ. People will say, “Who do you think you are? You think you can act like Christ?” You say, “Exactly. He lives in me, and I am putting Him on.

It does not happen overnight. It is a process that matures daily. You put Him on, and it begins to affect every area of your life. What you used to be just disappears!

Confession: The person I used to be does not exist anymore. I am a brand-new person. Christ lives in me!
