Living By Faith

WILLING TO RECEIVE

And the special gift of ministry you received when I laid hands on you and prayedkeep that ablaze! God doesnt want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible. (2 Timothy 1:6-7 | MSG)

“You cannot dishonor people that God has put into your life and expect to receive from them.” – Mark Hankins

You must honor the people that God brings into your life, because they carry something that is vital to you; they carry revelation. You will have to humble yourself to learn and receive these important things. The Apostle Paul knew first hand the value of supernatural relationships. Paul never would have fulfilled the call of God on his life without the assembly in Antioch. All of Paul’s letters were written after he was launched from a corporate assembly. Paul was launched into his apostolic ministry because of a corporate seeking of the Lord.

Jesus is faithful to send the Word to you in a way that you can understand and receive it to help you fulfill the will of God for your life. God will talk to you through supernatural relationships. How you manage those relationships will determine how much revelation will come to you.

Confession: I understand the value of supernatural relationships. I am willing to humble myself and receive from the people God has brought into my life.

SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Hebrews 10:25)

“If you value Jesus, the head of the church, you have to value his body and the supernatural relationships He brings into your life.” – Mark Hankins

One of the key words in the book of Acts is assembled. You constantly see believers assembling themselves not only in the temple but also from house to house. The book of Acts shows us time and again that believers came together corporately to receive from God to overcome adversity and to receive the plan and purpose of God so that the will of God could be done.

The body of Christ requires some assembly. Acts 2:1 says, “And when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all assembledtogether in one place.” The life of Jesus flows through the body when we are in our place. Being properly assembled or coming together in a local body of believers is essential to walking in revelation and fulfilling the call of God on your life.

Confession: I am a valuable part of the body of Christ. I will not forsake the assembly of the believers. I walk in revelation and I am fulfilling the call of God on my life.

HONORING SUPERNATURAL RELATIONSHIPS

Now Joshua son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses laid his hands upon him. (Deuteronomy 34:9 | NKJV)

“The spirit of wisdom and revelation is accessed by the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and supernatural relationships.” -Mark Hankins

In Deuteronomy 34:10, God said, “I have talked to Moses face-to-face.” Moses knew God. Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. Joshua wasn’t looking for an increase in intellectual knowledge about God. He was looking for a more intimate personal experience with God through the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

The Bible says in Ephesians 4:11 that when Jesus ascended upon high, He gave gifts unto men. This refers to people through whom God’s anointing and revelation flow to the Body of Christ to reveal Jesus. These gifts may not always be the kinds of gifts we want to receive from; but whenever Jesus is in revelation, the devil is on the run. We need to embrace the supernatural relationships God gives us so that we can receive all of the revelation He desires to impart to us in our lives!

Confession:  I honor Jesus as head of the church. I value His body and receive from the supernatural relationships He has brought into my life.

REPETITION AND THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.(Romans 10:17)

“Never underestimate the importance of repetition when it comes to the spirit of wisdom and revelation.” – Mark Hankins

Did you ever wonder why Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing and hearing? Because it doesn’t always come when you hear the Word once — it comes by hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing.

Revelation requires repetition, over and over again. Think about Paul’s letters and how much repetition is in those letters — almost identical repetition. God chose to include all of Paul’s letters in Scripture because if you don’t get it from Ephesians, you can get it from Galatians, Colossians, or Corinthians.

The spirit of wisdom comes by repetition. That’s why Dad Hagin said to pray the prayer in Ephesians 1 every day for six months.  Every day — pray, pray, pray; water, water, water. If you stick with it, the watering process will bring increase in the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

Confession: It is God who works in me both to will and to do of His good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13)

REPETITION: THE WATERING PROCESS

I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. (1 Corinthians 3:6)

“Revelation comes by repetition.” -Mark Hankins

Repetition is the watering process of the Word. We know that Paul and Apollos preached and taught the same Gospel. Paul said,“I planted and Apollos watered.”  The planting would be the first time you heard the Word and received the seed of the Word. Apollos watered — he taught the same thing that Paul did over and over again.

Increase comes from the spirit of wisdom and revelation. However, the spirit of wisdom will not operate without repetition. Increase in faith, increase in fruitfulness, and increase in blessing come from increase in revelation. Sometimes people reject the watering process because they think, “I already know that, so I am not going to pay attention. I’m not going to listen.”  When people reject the watering process, there is no increase.

The Word of God is designed for increase — thirty, sixty, and a hundred fold!  Where the Word is planted and watered appropriately, there is supernatural increase!

Confession: Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.  (Philippians 1:6 | NKJV)
