WISDOM IN CHRIST

In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2:3)

Wisdom and knowledge are more valuable than money.
Mark Hankins

The treasures of wisdom and knowledge in Him are hidden or stored up just for you. They are not hidden from you; they are hidden for you. In other words, God is not going to take all these wonderful things and lay them out in the street.

God has a secret place where He has hidden them for people who receive Jesus. You have access into the secret place where all are stored. Whatever knowledge, direction, understanding, and wisdom you need about your marriage, your children, your finances, or your future is stored up in Christ.

The Good News Bible says, “He is the key that opens all the hidden treasures of God’s wisdom and knowledge.” Wisdom and knowledge are more valuable than money. If you get the money without the wisdom, you will not keep the money long. But if you get wisdom, you can get money no matter what happens or where you go.

Confession: I have wisdom in Christ. Jesus is the key that opens all the hidden treasures of God’s wisdom and knowledge. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God…and it shall be given him.”

THE LAW OF SUBSTITUTION

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead. (2 Corinthians 5:14)

Jesus was not a martyr; He was a substitute, one man who died for every man. Mark Hankins

Jesus took our place.  He took our curse and died our death.  He took our condition so that we could have His condition.  He was identified with us.  We were there in His death and resurrection, because He died for us, we died with Him. Because He was raised for us, we were raised with Him. Everything Jesus did, He did for us and it is credited to our account as if we did it. Substitution progresses to identification and union with Christ.

In the four Gospels, a disproportionate amount of space is given to the actual events of the death and resurrection of Christ. Every sermon in the book of Acts and all of Paul’s epistles center on what happened in the death and resurrection of Christ. You can get anything you need from this event. Healing, prosperity, joy, victory — whatever you need — you can get from the fact that,“I was crucified with Christ. He took my place because He was my substitute. He took my condition.”

Confession: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.  (2 Corinthians 5:21)

DEDICATION AND REVELATION

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened… (Ephesians 1:18)

The more revelation we receive of God’s goodness toward us, the deeper our level of consecration or dedication will be. Mark Hankins

Reverend Kenneth E. (Dad) Hagin ministered in my Dad’s church time and time again. He would open his Bible to Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:17-23 and say, “This is not a prayer for sinners or for the lost; Paul is praying for Spirit-filled believers.  This is a prayer that all believers should pray!”

After teaching on this prayer, he stressed, “If you are not happy with your life, if you want life to be different for you, then pray this prayer for at least six months. Don’t pray it one week and then skip a week. Pray this prayer at least once a day, every single day for six months. Pray it over and over again. Just stick with it until something happens. If you do that, life will be different for you. The first thing that will happen is that the Bible will become a different book to you.”

Confession: May the eternal wisdom make me wise. May all the veils be torn away, so far as that may be in this life, and the full glory of the Revelation come flooding in upon me, so that my knowledge may be directed to the true end.(Ephesians 1:17-18 Carpenter Translation)

REVELATION…CALCULATION

Calculate, if you can, the gigantic power behind all this. Sons, quickened into life and consciousness. (Ephesians 1:19 Carpenter Translation)

This power that raised Christ from the dead, will do, in the believer, the same thing it did in Christ!  – Mark Hankins

We must get a revelation of the power that is on the inside of us! For just as with natural things, we cannot grasp and use them if we cannot see or sense them. When we have revelation of the power that is in us, and when we activate that power by our confession of it, that power begins to work in us. It duplicates in our souls and bodies what has already been accomplished in Christ.

Paul prayed for believers to have a revelation of this power. This power that raised Christ from the dead will do in the believer the same thing it did in Christ. It will not make our bodies immortal just yet, but it will melt down, undo, breakup, and dissolve anything the devil has done in us. It will melt away and dissolve disease, break up bondages, undo complexes and restraints.  This power will also deliver us from demonic powers and activities.

Confession:Now the Son of God came to the earth with the express purpose of liquidating the devil’s activities. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen and dissolve) the works the devil (has done).  (1 John 3:8 Philips and AMP)

REDEMPTIVE REVELATION

Where there is no vision [redemptive revelation of God], the people perish.
(Proverbs 29:18 AMP)

Revelation is a very personal thing.
Mark Hankins

You could say, where there is no redemptive revelation of God, the people are poor, sick, depressed, and defeated. Where there is no redemptive revelation of God, the people do not know the call of God, or the inheritance and authority that belongs to them.

Thank God we don’t have to live that way! We can have a redemptive revelation of God by the spirit of wisdom and revelation. By having the eyes of our hearts flooded with light, we can know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glory, and the exceeding greatness of His power to us who believe.

The authority of the believer in the Earth is based on what Jesus has already done for us in His death, burial, and resurrection. This is the center of Paul’s revelation. That is why Paul prayed in Ephesians 1 that God would give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Confession: And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in all. (Ephesians 1:22-23)
