Living By Faith

DON’T LET THE DEVIL OUTBLUFF YOU

I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you wisdom to see clearly and really understand who Christ is and all that he has done for you. (Ephesians 1:17 TLB)

Christ has already dethroned and defeated the devil!
Mark Hankins

I don’t understand a whole lot about the game of poker, but I happened to see the world championship one day and decided to watch for a few minutes. The cameras showed the television audience the exact hand each player had while they were playing. The funny thing I noticed during the game was that the player who won beat the player with the better hand. The player with the better hand folded because the other player out bluffed him.

Everything God has done for us in Christ belongs to us. Yet, many times we fold and throw in the cards even though we’re holding the winning hand. The spirit of wisdom and revelation can explain the mystery of your redemption so you can see and understand what God has already done for you in Christ.

Confession: I have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. The eyes of my understanding are being enlightened, that I may know what is the hope of His calling. (Ephesians 1:17-18)

THE WORD OF FAITH

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach. (Romans 10:8)

The language of redemption is the language of faith. Mark Hankins

The language of redemption is what the Apostle Paul called “the word of faith” in Romans 10:8-10. The vocabulary of salvation makes a sound that releases the power of God. We must learn to speak the language of redemption with the vocabulary of salvation!
The language of redemption speaks of what happened in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ and what He is doing for us right now: interceding for us at the right hand of the Father. We must learn what happened when Jesus took His blood into Heaven and purchased our eternal redemption!
The phrase “Christ hath redeemed us” in Galatians 3:13 is past tense, which means it has already been taken care of in Christ. He hath blessed us. He hath healed us. He hath delivered us. These are all past tense. Since He hath, by faith we now have. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is.” In Christ, we must learn a new language – the language of “Now,” the language of God.

Confession: I will speak the language of redemption, which is the language of faith. “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:10)

WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. (Galatians 3:13)

Boldly confess your redemption in Christ and who you are in Him. Mark Hankins

One of the biggest enemies to faith is a lack of understanding our redemption in Christ. Once you know the truth about redemption you will enjoy the freedom Jesus purchased for you. You must boldly confess your complete redemption in Christ.
A simple definition of redemption is freedom through the payment of a price. God paid the price for you in Christ two thousand years ago. As the old Gospel song reminds us, “Jesus paid it all.” He paid the price for your freedom, deliverance, healing, prosperity, and wholeness! Jesus paid too high a price for you to remain bound! He paid too high a price for your healing for you to stay sick. He paid too high a price for your prosperity for you to remain poor. Jesus purchased your freedom with His own blood! (Hebrews 9:12) Receive all that has been purchased on your behalf!

Confession: I boldly confess my redemption in Christ and who I am in Him. Jesus purchased my freedom from sin, sickness, and lack with His own blood! “Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.” (Hebrews 9:12)

IN CHRIST: ACCESS TO THE FATHER

And the veil in the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. (Mark 15:38)

God sees us in the blood of Jesus and welcomes us into His presence. Mark Hankins

When Jesus was crucified, the veil in the temple that separated man from the Holy of Holies was torn from the top to the bottom. This signified that the Holy Place was open for every man to enter into the closest fellowship with God. In Hebrews, the Apostle Paul says that veil was the body of Jesus. When His body was broken for us, we were granted access into Christ. When His blood was shed, we were accepted in Christ. In Him we have the closest fellowship with the Father God. The veil in the temple was the body of Jesus and we are in Christ. When He was wounded we were engrafted into Him. Now we are new creatures in Christ.

Through the blood of the everlasting covenant you will be made perfect in every good work to do His will. You will be launched into a new level of victory and blessing as you apply the blood constantly with boldness and full assurance of faith! (Hebrews10:19-25)

Confession: I have been granted access to the Father by the blood of Jesus.I am the righteousness of God in Christ!

UNDERSTANDING RIGHTEOUSNESS

I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Romans 1:16-17

Understanding you have God’s divine approval on your life sets you free from the sense of rejection, inadequacy or inferiority.  You are confident you have God’s approval.  You are free to receive God’s best blessings and to follow His plan for your life.  This confidence in God sets you free from constantly seeking approval from others.

One of the most misunderstood subjects in the Bible is righteousness. The Gospel of Christ is a revelation of the righteousness of God. The center of the Gospel reveals the righteousness of God.  I call righteousness a radical revelation, a revolutionary revelation. It is a reality that is produced for us by the Lord Jesus Christ.

Confession: The Gospel is the good news.  It is a weapon of might that begins with faith and produces faith.  God has made me righteous as He is . I am right with God!  I am whole and set free!
