Living By Faith

GLORY…GET LOADED

For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. (Habakkuk 2:14)

Our prayers, faith, and giving tap into God’s treasury…GLORY!
Mark Hankins

The Old Testament word for glory is kabod. It simply means heavy. The best way to see it is heavy or loaded with the goodness of God. In 2 Chronicles 5 & 7, as the people praised God saying, “The Lord is good and his mercy endureth forever,” the glory filled the temple. Heavy filled the house and the priests could not stand up. The manifested presence of God filled the temple. That is why today we can be so filled with the glory of God that we get loaded with God’s goodness; we get saturated with the life of God.

The New Testament word for glory is doxa. It is the light of the Gospel that shines and dispels all darkness and all the works of the devil!

Our prayers, faith, and giving tap into God’s treasury…GLORY! My God shall supply all of your need according to His riches in GLORY by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

Confession: The glory of God loads me with His goodness and is the light of the Gospel that shines and dispels all darkness and all the works of the devil in my life!

EVER-INCREASING

The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. (Daniel 11:32 NKJV)

Every advance in the call and the blessing of God comes from
an advance in revelation. Mark Hankins

God created you to know that there is more available than what you have right now. He’s looking for somebody who will believe God. While everyone else is scared, God is looking for someone who will act in faith — somebody who will know God.

If you want life to be different for you, pray the prayer in Ephesians 1:17-23 every day for at least six months. If you really want to know what the will of God is, if you really want to be in the right place at the right time with the right people, if you really want to be led by the Spirit, take this prayer and pray it.

Believe God for a breakthrough in revelation. Believe for a revolutionary revelation in your understanding, in the eyes of your heart. Believe for a breakthrough in the way you see yourself, the way you see the call of God, the way you see your inheritance, and the way you see your authority as a believer.

Confession: That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. (Ephesians 1:17)

HONORING SUPERNATURAL RELATIONSHIPS

Now Joshua son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses laid his hands upon him. (Deuteronomy 34:9 NKJV)

The spirit of wisdom and revelation is accessed by the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and supernatural relationships.
Mark Hankins

In Deuteronomy 34:10, God said, “I have talked to Moses face-to-face.” Moses knew God. Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. Joshua wasn’t looking for an increase in intellectual knowledge about God. He was looking for a more intimate personal experience with God through the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

The Bible says in Ephesians 4:11 that when Jesus ascended upon high, He gave gifts unto men. This refers to people through whom God’s anointing and revelation flow to the Body of Christ to reveal Jesus. These gifts may not always be the kinds of gifts we want to receive from; but whenever Jesus is in revelation, the devil is on the run. We need to embrace the supernatural relationships God gives us so that we can receive all of the revelation He desires to impart to us in our lives!

Confession: I honor Jesus as head of the church. I value His body and receive from the supernatural relationships He has brought into my life.

THE PERFECT LANGUAGE

Whosoever shall say…he shall have whatsoever he saith. (Mark 11:23)

Effective communication must involve both seeing and saying.
Mark Hankins

Human speech is a characteristic of man made in the image of God. We can see from Genesis 1 that God said and God saw. Sound came before sight in the order of this world’s creation. God said and God saw. Everything we can see was made from sound. Sound changes sight. Faith has a certain sound. As we speak the word of faith, things change in our lives.

In the beginning, a language existed that perfectly expressed the essence of all possible things. The language spoken in the Garden of Eden must have been such a language. Today, in the language of the Gospel, there is even greater power available. God has redeemed us by the blood of Jesus and has given us the language of redemption in Christ Jesus. God has restored all power to us “in
Christ.” It is a language of authority that will move mountains as Jesus said in Mark 11:23. It is a language of healing that Paul spoke in Acts 14:7-10. It is a language of love that Paul described in 1 Corinthians 13. It is the perfect language.

Confession: I am making a different sound — the sound of faith. The scenery of my life is changing because I walk by faith and not by sight.
(2 Corinthians 5:7)

NATURAL VS. SPIRIT

I pray that your inner vision may be flooded with light, to enable you to see… (Ephesians 1:18 Barclay Translation)

In God’s economy, He has already done everything He is ever going to do about your redemption, your healing, your victory, and your prosperity!
Mark Hankins

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” (1Corinthians 2:12-13)

In these verses, Paul describes one of the primary roles of the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, in our lives. Verse 14 tells us that the biggest job we have as believers is to take the step from the natural realm into the realm of the Spirit. Remember, the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit. Paul makes it very clear that the things of God cannot be discovered intellectually. We must have the spirit of wisdom and revelation to understand the things of God.

Confession: Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.
(1 Corinthians 2:9)
