Living By Faith

THE PEACE OF GOD

Great peace have they which love thy law; and nothing shall offend them.  (Psalm 119:165)

Remember-forgiveness is not a feeling; it is a choice! Mark Hankins

The word offense means a place of stumbling; something that trips you up. When you love the Lord, the peace of God is yours, and you decide that nothing is going to trip you up. Jesus said the amount of forgiveness you dish out is the amount you will get in return. (Matthew 7:2) Therefore you ought to dish out as much forgiveness as you can, because you’ll probably need it!

Be careful not to judge others when you see them fall in a certain area of life. Don’t say, “I would never do that,” because in six months, you’ll do something worse than that! Jesus said in Matthew 7:1, “Judge not, that ye be not judged.”  Then He said, “Stop criticizing others.”

We don’t live in a perfect world and we never will. People will always make mistakes; you will too. So you may as well go ahead and forgive others! I encourage you to read 1 Corinthians 13. Then draw the love line out and walk on it!

Confession: Love (God’s love in us)…takes no account of the evil done to it (it pays no attention to a suffered wrong. (1 Corinthians 13:5 AMP)

FAITH WORKS BY LOVE

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. (Galatians 5:6)

Your faith will not work properly if you are not walking in love! Mark Hankins

If your mountain keeps standing in the same old place, you’re not receiving what you’ve been praying for, and your faith is not working, the first thing you need to do is check your love walk.

What does it take to deal with offense or unforgiveness? It’s as simple as making a choice. When another person is involved and knows about the problem, you need to say, “Please forgive me.”  However, if the other person doesn’t know about the problem — if it’s something you did or something you’ve been holding against an individual — there’s no reason to get him or her involved, because you’ll stir up more devils than you can cast out! Just forgive that person and be friendly again. Get rid of that grudge!

The problem is not with God. Check your love walk. Evaluate the way you’re talking, acting and conducting your relationships. Walk in love, because faith works by love.

Confession: My mountain will move when I choose to walk in love in the way I talk, act, and conduct my relationships. I will walk in love because faith works by love!

UNFORGIVENESS: THE BIGGEST ENEMY TO FAITH

And when ye stand praying forgive, if ye have ought against any; that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. (Mark 11:25-26)

Faith works by love. A step out of love is a step out of God. Kenneth E. Hagin

The biggest enemy to faith is unforgiveness. In Mark 11, Jesus was talking about moving mountains. He said all things are possible in prayer. However, He pointed out that if you don’t deal with unforgiveness, none of your praying, your saying, or your faith would work!

If someone really did you wrong, you must forgive that person by releasing him or her of any unforgiveness on your part. You must not speak against that person or attack that individual. You must let go of your unforgiveness. When you release that person, forgive. And when you forgive, something positive will happen inside of you!

Confession: I must forgive others in order for God to forgive me. A step out of love is a step out of God. I choose to release any unforgiveness and offense to the Lord. I realize that for my faith to work, I must forgive and walk in love!

WILLING TO RECEIVE

And the special gift of ministry you received when I laid hands on you and prayed — keep that ablaze! God doesn’t want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible. (2 Timothy 1:6-7 The Message Bible)

You cannot dishonor people that God has put into your life and
expect to receive from them. Mark Hankins

You must honor the people that God brings into your life, because they carry something that is vital to you; they carry revelation. You will have to humble yourself to learn and receive these important things. The Apostle Paul knew first hand the value of supernatural relationships. Paul never would have fulfilled the call of God on his life without the assembly in Antioch. All of Paul’s letters were written after he was launched from a corporate assembly. Paul was launched into his apostolic ministry because of a corporate seeking of the Lord.

Jesus is faithful to send the Word to you in a way that you can understand and receive it to help you fulfill the will of God for your life. God will talk to you through supernatural relationships. How you manage those relationships will determine how much revelation will come to you.

Confession: I understand the value of supernatural relationships. I am willing to humble myself and receive from the people God has brought into my life.

HONORING SUPERNATURAL RELATIONSHIPS

Now Joshua son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses laid his hands upon him. (Deuteronomy 34:9 NKJV)

The spirit of wisdom and revelation is accessed by the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and supernatural relationships.
Mark Hankins

In Deuteronomy 34:10, God said, “I have talked to Moses face-to-face.” Moses knew God. Joshua the son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. Joshua wasn’t looking for an increase in intellectual knowledge about God. He was looking for a more intimate personal experience with God through the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

The Bible says in Ephesians 4:11 that when Jesus ascended upon high, He gave gifts unto men. This refers to people through whom God’s anointing and revelation flow to the Body of Christ to reveal Jesus. These gifts may not always be the kinds of gifts we want to receive from; but whenever Jesus is in revelation, the devil is on the run. We need to embrace the supernatural relationships God gives us so that we can receive all of the revelation He desires to impart to us in our lives!

Confession: I honor Jesus as head of the church. I value His body and receive from the supernatural relationships He has brought into my life.
