Living By Faith

GOD’S GENETIC ENGINEERING

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Your problem is in your genes.
Mark Hankins

One of the things that determine what you are and your potential in life is genetic determinism. Genetic determinism simply means that your parents made you what you are. Your problem is in your genes.

However, if you have been born again, you have a whole new genetic structure. God has placed a new gene in you! Y ou have been regenerated. God connected your genetic structure to the Lord Jesus Christ. The same qualities He put in Christ, He put in you.

When you get born again, the devil has no evidence against you. He tries to bring his evidence before the throne of God and says, “I have this to prove that person did this and that.” God says, “Let’s check the DNA. No, that is not the same person. That person is dead and gone.” You are literally a brand-new creation in Christ Jesus!

Confession: I have been born again therefore I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. The old things in my life are passed away and everything has become new! The devil has no evidence against me. God has placed the same qualities in me as He placed in Christ!

COMPLETE IN HIM

For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.
(Colossians 2:9-10)

In Christ, we have access to the understanding and insight of God.
Mark Hankins

The Holy Spirit gives you access to everything that is in Christ, and He will warn you about wrong relationships. Dad Hagin said, “Any person who shuts his spirit away and refuses to develop it will end up being a cripple in life and a victim of scheming and designing people.” God will put you in right relationships where people are not out to manipulate or hurt you. You are then in a double-win situation. They are in Christ and they say, “I am rooting for you to win because when you win, I win. I want you to win and have God’s plan and purpose for your life.”

God is in charge of everything, everywhere, and you are complete in Him. The Amplified Bible says in Philemon 6, “…EVERY GOOD [THING] that is ours in [our identification with] Christ Jesus….”Acknowledge and declare every good thing that is in Him because when you are in Him, every good thing is in you!

Confession: My identification is with Christ Jesus! I am righteous in Him! I am blessed in Him! I am forgiven in Him! I am redeemed in Him! I am complete in Him!

PATIENCE IN CHRIST

Through faith and patience inherit the promises. (Hebrews 6:12)

You can outlast the devil!
Mark Hankins

God is patient — He has the time and space for things to happen. The devil is not only stupid but also impatient. The devil will hang around and try to whip you. Eventually, he will get impatient and say, “I guess this is not going to work,” and take off! You can outlast the devil!

Some time ago when I visited someone in the hospital, I needed to ride the elevator. I pushed the button and the light came on, but nothing seemed to happen. I waited and waited for the doors to open. Finally, I punched the button again even though the light was still on. I thought, “I guess I don’t need to punch it again. The light is on. It is on the way.” I could have been impatient and taken the stairs if I wanted, but I held steady.

When you exercise your faith, you have punched the button and the light is on. The devil will say, “It’s not going to come. It will never happen.” Keep the switch of faith turned on. Keep that light on! The elevator is on the way!

Confession: Through faith and patience I am inheriting the promises. My faith is working. Miracles are coming to me. The light is on. The elevator is on the way!

MADE READY IN CHRIST

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. (Colossians 1:12)

You will never be more ready for your inheritance than the moment you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Mark Hankins

The word “meet” in the King James Version just simply means that God has qualified us, enabled us, made us worthy, or made us ready. In other words, you do not have to sing in the choir for 38 years to be ready. The moment you are washed in the blood of Jesus — the moment you climb in Christ by faith and receive Him as your Lord and Savior — you are qualified for your inheritance. Colossians 1:12 says, “Giving thanks unto the Father….” Sometimes you need to say, “O, Father, I give You thanks that You have qualified me. You have enabled me and made me worthy.”

There is a time when we bow down before God in reverence and worship, but that is not being unworthy. When we come into the presence of God by the blood of Jesus and bow down, there are times when God will say, “Stand up with boldness and declare that you are who I say you are.” It gives Him honor when you believe Him.

Confession: I have been made worthy through the blood of Jesus Christ. With boldness I recognize that I am qualified for my inheritance!

BOLDNESS IN CHRIST

In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. (Ephesians 3:12)

Righteousness gives you boldness in your prayer life.
Mark Hankins

God does not want you dragging, crawling, or sliding into His presence. He wants you to come walking in as a child of God. You have a “standing” with God that the angels do not have. God wants you to walk in saying, “Abba Father, Daddy God, You are my Father, and I am your child.” When you come walking into His presence in Christ and through the blood of Jesus, God cannot find anything wrong with you — not even a trace of sin. You are justified in Christ.

In Him, you have boldness when you pray. You are not a beggar. You come into God’s presence with confidence saying, “I am an heir of God and a joint-heir with Jesus Christ. Father God, I know when I pray, I have this confidence, that whatever I ask for, You hear me, and I know I have the petitions I desire of You.”

We get boldness in the presence of God. We have access, or a way into the presence of God in Christ. We must climb up in Christ by faith declaring, “I am in Him.”

Confession: I am in Christ! I have access with boldness, confidence, and assurance into the presence of God!
