Living By Faith

WHEN FAITH COMETH, FEAR GOETH

But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

In the midst of adversity, David was overcoming fear! Mark Hankins

There can be no doubt that David had a spirit of faith. He killed Goliath the giant, a lion, a bear, and more than 10,000 Philistines. Case closed — the man had a spirit of faith! However, in the Psalms we see David dealing with fear. We also see that David dealt with fear by believing and speaking. The spirit of faith requires both! David penned these words in Psalm 116: “For You have delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears… I believed, therefore I spoke…”

There are over one hundred times in the Bible where we are told, “Fear not.” Jesus said, “Fear not: believe only.” (Luke 8:50) God works by faith; He is a faith God. It pleases God when we have a spirit of faith. (Hebrews 11:6) “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.” (2 Corinthians 4:13) We overcome fear as we believe and speak the Word of God.

Confession: The Lord is my light and salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)

CHOOSE FAITH OR FEAR

If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. (Mark 9:23)

When the devil says that it is all over, Jesus says that it is not all over; it has just been delayed a little while. Mark Hankins

There will be a moment when you must choose to either believe God or be full of fear. We read about a moment like that in Jairus’ life in Mark 5:35. Jairus was told his daughter was dead. Jesus grabbed Jairus right in the middle of his crisis and gave him a word: “Fear not, only believe.” (Mark 5:36) Jesus will give you a word right in the middle of your crisis, too. He knows what others are telling you. He knows the doubts that are flooding your mind. Jesus hears and says, “I’d like to interrupt the fear and doubt and give you a word from heaven: Fear not, only believe.”

God can take care of you. He can work in your life and undo everything the devil has done. He is able to raise the dead, heal the sick, cast out devils, and turn your whole life around. When He speaks, faith comes. When faith comes, fear goes!

Confession: I choose to speak words of faith and not fear. Jesus said that all things are possible to him who believes. If God is for me, who can be against me? (Romans 8:31)

WHOSOEVER SHALL HAVE WHATSOEVER

If ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. (Matthew 21:21)

There are no immovable mountains. Mark Hankins

Jesus told you to speak to the mountain. The mountain has been speaking to you, telling you how big it is, how long it has been there, and that it is impossible to move. You need to do some speaking to that mountain! God is holding you responsible to “frame your world” with His Word. The devil would like to frame your world with doubt, fear, depression, sickness, and poverty. The Word of God will put him on the run. We can draw five simple conclusions from Mark 11:23:

1.  If it were God’s will for the mountain to be there, Jesus would not have told you to move it.

2.  If you only knew what was on the other side of your mountain, you would move it.

3.  If it is there, you can move it. There is no mountain in the sphere of your life that you cannot move.

4. Your mountain needs to hear your voice.

5.  If what you have in life was completely up to God, Jesus never would have said Mark 11:23.

Confession: With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.  (Matthew 19:26)

YOUR MOUNTAIN NEEDS TO HEAR YOUR VOICE

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed… he shall have whatsoever he saith. (Mark 11:23)

Any man may be changed by faith no matter how he may be fettered. Smith Wigglesworth

One day while I was praying and studying, the Holy Spirit began to give me a vision of the possibilities of some great, glorious, marvelous, and wonderful things that God had prepared for my life, but there were some “mountains” between God’s best blessings and me. He said, “If you knew what was on the other side of your mountain, you would move it!”

In Luke 17:6, Jesus uses the illustration of a “sycamine tree.” Someone once joked, “I have identified my problem, and I am sick of mine.” Sometimes things will stay around until you get sick and tired of being sick and tired, and you determine that things must change in your life. Mark 11:23 makes it clear that it is not up to God or someone else to deal with your situation, it’s up to you! Your mountain will obey you! Your mountain needs to hear your voice!

Confession: I speak to every mountain that has hindered supernatural increase in my life and command them to move. I am ready to receive God’s best blessings for me!

THE SPOKEN WORD

When the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:8)

If your faith isn’t talking, it isn’t working. Faith always has a voice. Mark Hankins

Jesus is looking for faith. Your faith is expressed through your words. The spoken Word of God gives the life of God to all who believe and speak. We hold fast our confession of faith according to Hebrews 4:14 (AMP): In as much then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].

We live by faith, and we walk by faith. We know all things are possible to those who believe. It takes faith to obey God and to please Him. The Word of faith is not such a difficult thing. The Gospel is called the Word of faith in Romans 10:8.  The Word is near you; salvation is near you; healing is near you, and blessing is near you. It is all as near as your mouth and your heart!

Confession: I have the spirit of faith. I believe and I speak. I have overcoming faith. I have mountain-moving faith. I have a measure of the God-kind of faith, and it’s framing my world with blessing, healing, victory, and prosperity!
