POSSESSING THE LAND

Every place upon which the sole of your foot shall tread shall be yours. (Deuteronomy 11:24 Amplified Bible)

There are some places you can never go geographically until you first go there in prayer in the Spirit.
Mark Hankins

You have to acknowledge and declare that you are who God says you are in order to possess the land. There are some places you can never go geographically until you first go there in prayer in the Spirit. God has given you influence in new places in the harvest – in America, Africa, Asia, China, Central America, and Europe. God has given the church places to walk in harvest.

You will have new places of influence where you never had influence before. God wants the church to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. That means walking in supernatural influence over your city, your family, and your life. It is harvest time!

Confession: I am who God says I am. I have what God says I have. I am doing some walking right now. I am possessing the land. Healing and miracles are mine. New anointing and authority are mine. Prosperity and victory are mine. New places of understanding and revelation, new places of authority, boldness, and anointing are mine. New places in prosperity, world harvest, evangelism, and new places in prayer are mine!

GOD PLUCKED YOU OUT

And the Lord said to Satan, The Lord rebuke you, O Satan! Even the Lord Who now and habitually chooses Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this [returned captive Joshua] a brand plucked out of the fire? (Zechariah 3:2 Amplified)

Your consciousness often shows on your countenance. Mark Hankins

Zechariah 3:3 says, “Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.” Joshua had on some dirty, filthy clothes. Those clothes are a type of disobedience, sin, or the effect of sin.

You see people that still have oppression, fear, guilt, or shame on them. Once you get “in Christ,” you put on the new man. Then you can wear joy, blessing, confidence, righteousness, and glory. God wants you to change clothes!

Do you know God plucked you out of the fire? The devil said, “I have you, and I am going to destroy you.” God said, “Hold it, devil! I have a plan. I have chosen him. He belongs to Me.” You were going down for the last time, but God plucked you out!

Confession: I am getting dressed up in Christ! I am wearing joy, blessing, confidence, righteousness, and glory!

DON’T GIVE THE DEVIL A CHANCE

But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection. (1 Corinthians 9:27)

Put on the Lord Jesus Christ and do not give the flesh a chance.
Mark Hankins

Your flesh still has certain desires that you have to deal with. Do not put yourself in situations where your flesh will be able to take advantage of you and drag you through lust. Paul said in Colossians 3:5 that you have to crucify the flesh and mortify the deeds of the body.

The devil will say to you, “If you are saved, you are a new creature. You can still hang around certain kinds of sin.” If there has been a problem and a weakness in your life, just don’t make any provision for that. You need to tell the devil, “No, I understand what my limits are, and it is best for me to stay far away from that temptation.”

Put on what is in you in Christ and don’t give the devil a chance. You might say, “I am in the world. I cannot help but come across certain things.” That is true, but you should not be looking for temptation, you should be doing your best to stay away from it. Acknowledge who you are in Christ then put to death the deeds of the body.

Confession: I am a new creature in Christ. Old lusts, thoughts, temptations, and habits are crucified. I keep under my body and bring it into subjection! (2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 Corinthians 9:27)

PUT ON THE NEW MAN

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
(Ephesians 4:23-24)

In order to put on the new man, you have to change clothes.
Mark Hankins

In Ephesians 4:23-24, Paul was not talking about natural clothes, but he was talking about putting on something supernaturally. The new man is in you, but the outward man needs to make some wardrobe adjustments.

To change your clothes means to change your lifestyle, change the way you think, change your direction, change who you are hanging out with, change what you are watching on television, and change the kind of books you are reading.

How are you going to do that? “But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.” (Romans 13:14) When you expose yourself to situations that can cause you to fall, you need to watch your flesh. Although you are saved, you still occupy a body. You will get a new body when you get to Heaven, but right now you still have to deal with your flesh.

Confession: I am renewed in the spirit of my mind. I put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:23-24)

A BRAND-NEW MAN

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is free from sin. (Romans 6:6-7)

Wouldn’t you like to go ahead and lose your mind for a little while?
Mark Hankins

Paul said in Romans 6, “I know this for a fact. I was crucified with Christ. Christ took me to the cross with Him.” Some theologians believe that Paul had lost his
mind because he was not even in Jerusalem when Jesus was crucified. But Paul said, “Christ lives in me now. I did not survive the cross, and there is nothing left of me. It’s all gone. I am a brand-new man. I was crucified with Christ.”

Paul was presenting the law of substitution to the theologians and to us. The law of substitution has to do with the two Adams. The first Adam got us into this mess, so God made another Adam. Jesus is the last Adam. To get rid of the old Adam, there had to be a resurrection.

The death and resurrection of Christ is a group picture. You have to find yourself in it, or the picture does not look so great. Once you find yourself, you can say, “Oh, there I am!” This is not sense knowledge; the Holy Spirit reveals it to you.

Confession: Because Christ lives, I live! I am seated with Him and blessed with Him. I cannot be defeated! I cannot be depressed. Christ lives in me!
