Living By Faith

WHERE FAITH BEGINS

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Every breakthrough in faith comes from a breakthrough in revelation. Mark Hankins

Revelation is the difference between faith and mental ascent. For the spirit of wisdom and revelation to work in your life, you will have to get beyond the theological, the historical, the geographical, and the doctrinal perspectives of the Bible and enter the realm of the inspirational.

2 Timothy 3:16 says that all scripture is inspired or God-breathed. When revelation is released in your life, you enter a realm where God breathes His Word into your spirit and talks to you personally.

Moving up in faith is a greater challenge than climbing Mount Everest. By the spirit of wisdom and revelation, we can know the limitless possibilities of God’s plan and purpose for our lives. With each new revelation, the Holy Spirit will lead us to another altitude camp. He is our guide, and He will take us to the top if we will listen to Him and follow Him. See you at the top!

Confession:  I am moving up in faith by the spirit of wisdom and revelation. For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

THE LANGUAGE OF FAITH

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. (Mark 11:23)

Many people would like to see different scenery in their lives. God says to make a different sound first. Mark Hankins

God wants us to learn the language of faith. Language includes understanding and speaking. God communicates to us through His Word. He wants us to see the same thing He sees and say the same thing He says. The spirit of wisdom and revelation and the spirit of faith work together for the will of God to be accomplished in us and through us.

In other words, it does not matter what the devil has done in your life. Through the cross of Jesus Christ, there is another language God wants to teach you — the language of redemption, restoration, and freedom. If you can dare to speak this new language, He will restore your dominion.

Confession: Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. I know I have eternal life. I am a child of God because of what Jesus has done. I have joy. I know the hope of His calling. I know I have an inheritance in Christ. Jesus has given me authority over the devil!

THE PERFECT LANGUAGE

Whosoever shall say… he shall have whatsoever he saith. (Mark 11:23)

Effective communication must involve both seeing and saying. Mark Hankins

Human speech is a characteristic of man made in the image of God. We can see from Genesis 1 that God said and God saw. Sound came before sight in the order of this world’s creation. God said and God saw. Everything we can see was made from sound. Sound changes sight. Faith has a certain sound. As we speak the word of faith, things change in our lives.

In the beginning, a language existed that perfectly expressed the essence of all possible things. The language spoken in the Garden of Eden must have been such a language. Today, in the language of the Gospel, there is even greater power available. God has redeemed us by the blood of Jesus and has given us the language of redemption in Christ Jesus. God has restored all power to us “in

Christ.” It is a language of authority that will move mountains as Jesus said in Mark 11:23. It is a language of healing that Paul spoke in Acts 14:7-10. It is a language of love that Paul described in 1 Corinthians 13.  It is the perfect language.

Confession: I am making a different sound — the sound of faith. The scenery of my life is changing because I walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7)

TO BE CONTINUED…

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

The Holy Spirit is the head of God’s revelation department. Mark Hankins

People who are crucified do not survive. You cannot get into Christ and remain unchanged. You can go to church and not be changed much, but if any man be in Christ, there is radical change! Old things are passed away and everything is new. God took you to the cross with Christ, but He also raised you up with Christ in His resurrection!

When God finished with you, you were made alive in Christ. He made you a whole new creation; you became a new kind of creature that never existed before because Jesus did something that had never been done before!

Jesus brought God and man back together.  When you get born again, you look like a man, but you are no longer just a man. When you are walking, God is walking because God lives in you. Paul said, “It looks like me, but it’s Christ, the Messiah! The Anointed One lives in me!”

Confession: Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations… Christ in you, the hope of glory.  (Colossians 1:26-27)

PARALYZED FAITH

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. (Mark 11:22)

The devil knows that he can neutralize your faith with unforgiveness faster than any other way. Mark Hankins

Unforgiveness is the door through which the devil enters. Dad Hagin said it this way, “Anytime you’re feeling mistreated, you know that the devil is working on you.” If someone does you wrong or says something you don’t like, you’d better watch it. Those feelings and that voice will come to you saying, “You’ve been mistreated,” and “They really did you wrong!”  The devil will continue to work on you until he has set up an offense.

You must not speak against or attack those who have mistreated you. When you release and forgive them, something positive will happen inside of you!

Smith Wigglesworth said,“I believe there area great many people who would behealed, but they are harboring things in their hearts that are as a blight… There is just some little thing that came in their hearts years ago and their faith has been paralyzed since.”  Don’t allow unforgiveness to paralyze your faith!

Confession: My faith is in God! I will not listen to the voice of the enemy. I will not allow unforgiveness to paralyze my faith!
