Living By Faith

A NEW DAY OF BOLDNESS

Having therefore, brethren, BOLDNESS to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. (Hebrews 10:19)

Instead of being a victim of our experiences, our experiences are a victim of us. Mark Hankins

The word boldness is an important word in the book of Hebrews. The blood of Jesus has given us great boldness and confidence.

Let us therefore come BOLDLY unto the throne of grace.” (Hebrews 4:16)

“That we may BOLDLY say, ‘The Lord is my helper.’” (Hebrews 13:6)

Some other translations of Hebrews 10:19 translate boldness as freedom of speech or outspoken.  As believers, we need to exercise our freedom of speech and be outspoken about the blood of Jesus and who we are in Christ. Instead of being a victim of our experiences, our experiences are a victim of us!

Confession: I have boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. I can come boldly unto the throne of grace and I can boldly say the Lord is my helper! I am not a victim of my experiences. My experiences are a victim of me because the blood of Jesus has given me great boldness and confidence!

ACT LIKE THE BIBLE IS TRUE

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:23-24)

The power of the blood of Jesus washes away all of the guilty stains and we can stand in God’s presence confidently. Mark Hankins

You can know that the Bible says these things about you, but they may not seem real to you. You have a part to play. You did not make the new man; God did that. You   must put on the new man. One translation says, “put on the new person that you are.” This new man is created in righteousness and true holiness. God would not make an unrighteous new creature. You have been made the righteousness of God in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

God sees you through the blood of Jesus. He looks at you as though you never did anything wrong.  We can face life confidently. We can pray confidently. In Christ we have right standing with God. It is not only right standing with God; it is the identical standing with the Father that Jesus has. Dare to see yourself this way!

Confession: In Christ I am delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of the Son of God. In Christ I have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

HAVE A BOLD CONFESSION

…full recognition and appreciation and understanding and precise knowledge of every good [thing] that is ours in [our identification with] Christ Jesus. (Philemon 6 Amplified)

Never run at your giant with your mouth shut! Mark Hankins

You need a bold confession of who you are in Christ. Faith must have a bold confession in order to work properly.  E.W. Kenyon said, “The reason that the majority of Christians are weak, though they are earnest, yet they are weak, is because they have never dared to make a confession of what they are in Christ.”

In 1 Samuel 17, David made some bold declarations as he ran toward Goliath. He was no longer just thinking of himself; he had identified with Almighty God. He had declared his covenant with God. David did not go to the battlefield and say,“I am going to see what will happen today.” No, David declared ahead of time that the victory was his.

You must acknowledge who you are in Christ for your faith to work. Just like David, you too can declare ahead of time that victory is yours in Christ!

Confession:Victory is mine in Christ! I am identified with Christ, the triumph of Christ, the risen Christ. I reign in victory with Him!

ACKNOWLEDGING EVERY GOOD THING

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. (Philemon 6)

Your life becomes a great testimony to others as they see the wonderful benefits that belong to the believer! Mark Hankins

No good thing comes from walking or following after the flesh. On the other hand, every good thing is available to you as you follow after the Spirit in Christ. Believers should acknowledge every good thing that is in them in Christ.

There are many benefits that are ours in Christ. The Fenton translation of Philemon 6 says, “so that your advance in the faith may become energetic by recognition of every benefit there is for us in Christ.”  Would you like to advance in faith? You do not want to be the same next year at this time or next month at this time, do you? You need to take some steps forward by acknowledging who you are in Christ!

Confession: I am righteous in Christ. I am blessed in Christ. Victory is mine in Him. I am not trying to get it or hoping to get it, it is mine now! I am in Christ and Christ is in me!

THE YOKE IS DESTROYED

…and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. (Isaiah 10:27)

The anointing stands up to whatever challenges you are facing, whether they are mental, physical, emotional, or relational. Mark Hankins

What is a yoke? A yoke is something than attaches you to a weight. The devil will try to wrap things around you, chain you up, lock you down, and get you underneath some load or burden. Satan is the oppressor and wants to keep you bound, but the anointing destroys the yoke and everything the devil tries to put on you. When you begin to acknowledge every good thing that is in you in Christ, the anointing empowers you to overcome.

Where does the anointing come from? You can receive it from someone else, but you can also let the anointing rise up from inside of you — from your spirit.

The anointing responds to faith! Your faith will function as you acknowledge every good thing that is in you in Christ, and it will pull on that anointing. In Christ, that anointing will rise up on the inside of you and meet the challenge.

Confession: I am not quitting. I am not giving up. Whatever God has called me to do, I can do. I am in Christ, the Anointed One, and He lives in me! I can not be defeated!
