Living By Faith

GENETIC CONNECTION

Lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities…
Behold your God! (Isaiah 40:9)

When you speak, there is an identical voice of faith.
It sounds like the voice of God.
Mark Hankins

A number of years ago I called my brother’s church. The secretary mistook my voice for his voice because we’re brothers and there is a genetic similarity. She immediately said, “Pastor Mike.” When she said that, I thought I would take advantage of the situation and said, “You know, I really love my brother Mark a lot and would like to express my appreciation to him in a more tangible way. I want you to send my brother Mark a check for $10,000.” The secretary got real quiet on the other end of the phone because she thought I was Mike. Then I said, “I’m just kidding, this is Mark.”

I realized my voice, because of the genetic connection, gave me access to his checking account. That’s why God says, “Lift up your voice and speak.” There is a genetic connection between you and Jesus Christ. There is authority, healing, deliverance, victory, and blessing in your voice.

Confession: I lift up my voice in faith and victory! Mountains have to move! I have authority, healing, deliverance, victory, and blessing in my voice!

PREPARE FOR GLORY: LIFT YOUR VOICE

Then the Lord put forth his hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. (Jeremiah 1:9)

The spoken word builds the road for the glory to come.
Mark Hankins

In Mark 11:23, Jesus said, “Whosoever shall say…he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Anytime God wants to change someone’s life, He always touches his or her mouth. He changes families, churches, cities, and nations the same way.

The move of God is voice activated. We must speak the Word of God. Your voice is your address in the realm of the spirit.

Today, God is touching your mouth. God wants you to lift your voice as a believer; as you do, you will move mountains and prepare for the glory of the Lord. We must exercise our faith to prepare for the glory of God.

Confession: For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. ( Mark 11:23)

A GREAT BEDTIME STORY

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in ONCE into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. (Hebrews 9:12)

Jesus cancelled and abolished sin ONCE for all time for all men.
Mark Hankins

ONCE! That’s all it took! What Jesus did for us in His death and resurrection, He only had to do ONCE! ONCE He shed His blood. ONCE He paid the price for our freedom. ONCE He put away and abolished sin. ONCE He dethroned and defeated Satan. ONCE for all time! ONCE for all mankind! ONCE for the cure of every condition! He only had to die ONCE so that every blessing in heaven could be ours.

Whenever you face any challenge, remember this story and tell it again, “ONCE UPON A TIME!” Jesus defeated Satan so badly He only had to do it ONCE!
When Satan comes against you, just bring up this story and say, “ONCE upon a time…” and the devil will leave. Now, we as believers can take the Word of God and tell the devil a bedtime story. Say, “Devil, ONCE upon a time Jesus defeated you for all eternity.” Speak the Word of God with boldness and rock the devil to sleep!

Confession: But as now is, He has ONCE for all at the consummation and close of the ages appeared to put away and abolish sin by His sacrifice [of Himself]. (Hebrews 9:26 AMP)

REDEMPTIVE REVELATION

Where there is no vision [redemptive revelation of God], the people perish.
(Proverbs 29:18 AMP)

Revelation is a very personal thing.
Mark Hankins

You could say, where there is no redemptive revelation of God, the people are poor, sick, depressed, and defeated. Where there is no redemptive revelation of God, the people do not know the call of God, or the inheritance and authority that belongs to them.

Thank God we don’t have to live that way! We can have a redemptive revelation of God by the spirit of wisdom and revelation. By having the eyes of our hearts flooded with light, we can know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glory, and the exceeding greatness of His power to us who believe.

The authority of the believer in the Earth is based on what Jesus has already done for us in His death, burial, and resurrection. This is the center of Paul’s revelation. That is why Paul prayed in Ephesians 1 that God would give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Confession: And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that filleth all in all. (Ephesians 1:22-23)

X-RAY VISION

I pray that your inward eyes may be illumined… (Ephesians 1:18 NEB)

The entire Bible is written from the spirit of wisdom and revelation.
Mark Hankins

The Apostle Paul saw something by the Spirit of wisdom and revelation that was even greater than what Moses must have seen when he wrote the book of Genesis. Paul’s letters are even different from the four Gospels. The Gospels are photographs of redemption; Paul’s letters are X-rays.

Paul was not physically there for the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, but he wrote about what happened by revelation knowledge. He saw what happened In Christ. God saw us there In Christ. We died with Him, were buried with Him, were made alive with Him, and were raised up together with Him.

The Word of God describes spiritual or unseen realities and explains the mystery of your redemption. You can read the Bible with just your intellect and read it like a regular book, or you can allow the Holy Spirit to open up revelation to you.

Confession: And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 1:19-20)
